We'd like to take this time to thank you for visiting our website.
We are Kimberly & Erik Thorson of Bemidji, Minnesota. We
started Music Box Productions in the summer of 1996 and have
made thousands of individually produced personalized recordings
since we began. We write, arrange, sing and produce all of our
own original compositions in our Bemidji studio. We take pride
in what we do, offering a more meaningful and spiritual approach
to personalized music.
In addition to our Memorial Blessing Song we also offer personalized
lullabies, wedding and anniversary songs and a Soldier’s Prayer
song. Our Memorial Blessing Song is actually our latest addition.
We had talked about and planned on adding a memorial song to
our repertoire for a couple of years. Then in June of 2006 Kimberly’s
mother Nina passed away and she became our inspiration … thank
you Mom.
Ever since we began we've been amazed at how much love there
really is out there in the world. That's what really keeps us
going. Through our music and special narrations, it has been
both an honor and a delight to serve as a 'vehicle' for people
to express their love for their loved ones. To us it’s more than
just a business – it’s our mission and we have devoted our lives
to it.
We look forward to working with funeral home directors, clergy
and family members in hopes that, through our music, we can bring
comfort and solace to your funeral or memorial service as well
as provide lifelong keepsakes of remembrance.
Finally, we want to thank all of our past customers who have
supported us through the years, and have shared our music with
so many others. We hope that you will do the same. Thank you
and God Bless.

Say It In A Song
By Jeanne Edevold Larson
September 27, 2004
Music Box Productions owners and musicians, Erik and Kim Thorson,
have recorded thousands of personalized songs on CD for all occasions
since they started in 1996. Each one is recorded one at a time
in their Bemidji, Minnesota studio.
In
this age of uncertainty, fear, hate and constant change, we hunger
to find meaning and human connection. For generations, music has
been a common language—music evokes emotion, expresses feelings
and provides a soundtrack to the ups and downs of everyday life.
Kim and Erik dedicate their days to bringing families together
through the spiritual and emotional combination of beautiful music,
comforting lyrics and heartwarming messages. Scores of customer
testimonials affirm how these personalized songs have touched lives
and connected loved ones with each other. And not just through
children’s lullaby songs. Parents have personalized wedding
songs recorded for their son or daughter’s special day; anniversary
songs remind husbands and wives of their personal devotion; moonlight
blessings provide soothing uplifting words of encouragement helping
a graduate turn the next corner in their lives; and soldier’s
songs reach across oceans to unite families separated by war. Kim
and Erik have also written a personalized memorial blessing song
to honor and pay tribute to a lost loved one as well as providing
comfort to those left behind.
The only constant in this world is family, love and human interaction.
Music brings people together and safeguards our emotional connections
and these songs carry on year after year. Kim and Erik Thorson
are masters at reminding us of this.
